Midnight Drags Presents:
Big Tire/Small Tire Shoot-out!!!
and Racer Appreciation Night
This Saturday night, May 10, at 11pm when the
Midnight Drags open the gates, look out for the baddest cars in the
area go "old school". Rules are simple: Must have
working doors, headlights and taillights, mufflers and no wheelie
bars. If the side wall of the tire says 10.5 anything, its a
small tire. Everything else is big tire. Whose got the guts
to pull off the wheelie bars and let the big dog run?
Also, for all you regulars at the Midnight Drags: FREE TECH CARDS! !
! That's right, pay to watch and not 1 cent more to race on
Oklahoma's' finest drag strip. Ask for a tech card at the
gate, go to the new tech area on the east side of the pits and
prepare for a night you'll never forget.
New Tech Area Completed
The final touches are done on the new Tech area
located at the old gas station. From now on, racers will tech
under the roof with dragsters in the left lane and everything else
in either lane. The left lane gives a wider turning circle for
the dragsters. Once tech has been completed, the racer will
exit onto the return road.
Also, we are adding a new fence along the west side
of the staging lanes. This is so during large spectator
events, spectators are not injured walking between cars.
During regular events, the walk-through gate will be open at the
front of the staging lanes, where the old fence ended.
Motorhome Spots Available For Sooner
Nationals
Motorhome spots are now available for the 2008 Skull
Shine Sooner Nationals, to be held on August 22-24. There are
only 24 spots, all with 30 to 50 amp electrical service, located on
the pit side of the track between the 1/8 and 1/4 mile. You
can also purchase regular camping site tickets if you don't require
an electrical hook-up. To reserve your spot,

Scheduling Changes...
The Midnight Drags present Big Tire / Small Tire Street Car
Shoot-out and Racer Appreciation Night has been moved from May 3 to
May 10.
The Rich Christensen's Armdrop Racing Live
event scheduled for October 3 and 4, has been changed. The new
date will be one week later on October 10 and 11. The MAKO
Real Street Shoot-out scheduled for October 11 will now be on
October 4.
Arctic Cat to be Raffled at Thunder
Jam
Tulsa Raceway Park will be raffling a new 2008 Arctic Cat 250 ATV
during Thunder Jam on June 7, 2008. The ATV was on display at
the Darryl Starbird show in the Quik Trip Center at
Expo Square. A total of 400 tickets are available starting
Friday, February 15, for $20 each. If less than 300 tickets
are sold, the money collected will be split with the winner 50/50.
If more than 300 tickets are sold before Thunder Jam, the ATV will
be given away. You will not need to be present to win.
Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Tulsa Raceway Park
Championship Points Program.
